What is DrFormulas Menopause Support?
DrFormulas Menopause Support is an herbal menopause supplement.
Wellesley Women’s Institute Ingredient Analysis:
Criteria | Our Comments | |
Phytoestrogenic Ingredients For Hot Flashes and Night Sweats | Estrogen deficiency during menopause causes hot flashes. DrFormulas Menopause Support has phytoestrogenic ingredients from a variety of sources including: soy, licorice, and red clover.
Progesterone and/or Progesterone Precursors for Mental Health and Cancer Prevention | Progesterone balances out estrogen and is essential when supplementing the body with estrogen. DrFormulas Menopause Support has chasteberry and false unicorn which raise progesterone levels. It also has progesterone precursors in wild yam, black cohosh.
Artificial dyes | DrFormulas Menopause Support has no carcinogenic titanium dioxide. |
DrFormulas Menopause Support Ingredients
DrFormulas Menopause Support has isoflavones from soy, licorice, and red clover. Isoflavones are plant molecules that exhibit estrogen-like behavior. They are not estrogens but are similar enough to bind to estrogen receptors throughout your body. They are needed to make up for reduced estrogen levels during menopausal years which would otherwise lead to menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night flashes, and mood swings.
The inclusion of sage is interesting as it has been used historically to reduce sweating, a condition known as hyperhydrosis. We assume it has been included for night sweats.
DrFormulas Menopause Support also has ingredients to balance estrogen levels with progesterone. It includes Chaste Tree Berry + false unicorn which help elevate progesterone levels and Black Cohosh + wild yam which has precursors to progesterone.
Does DrFormulas Menopause Support Work?
As we have discussed, the main cause of menopause symptoms is the lack of estrogen and progesterone.DrFormulas Menopause Support addresses both of these causes, the lack of estrogen and progesterone.
The use of isoflavones in the formulation reduces hot flashes experienced during menopause. However, phytoestrogens cannot be used alone. They need to be balanced by progesterone. Mendapause has ingredients that help balance progesterone levels with estrogen levels.
IsDrFormulas Menopause Support Safe?
Traditional Hormonal Hormone Replacement Therapy relies on supplying the body with estrogen and/or progesterone. Mendapause uses natural herbal alternatives that help balance both of those hormones.
It uses isoflavones to supply phytoestrogens and although there is some discussion about whether or not isoflavones are safe, it is important to keep in mind that they are consumed by people worldwide, especially in Asian countries in the form of soybeans. The frequency of menopause symptoms is dramatically less in those countries.
Black cohosh is well-tolerated by most people but can cause adverse reactions in some. See our Remifemin review for details.

Would this product work for someone who has been through menopause, but now experiencing low energy and mood swings?
It seems to be working well for me. Rarely experiencing fatigue after 4-6 weels on it. Also have improved moods & motivation. Even noticing less bloating which I hadn’t even related to menopause. I also started a mega-vitamin regimen at the same time, so can’t actually say if it is 1 or the other, or both. I’m taking a women’s multi, b50 complex, & a, c, & e w/sellenium, calcium w/d3, & magnesium & potassium combo. Never had much problem w/night sweats or hot flashes.
P.S. Forgot to mention the other BIG problem: memory lapses! Can’t say whether or not it has helped w/this. Hard to judge, so subjective.
Does anyone know if this Mendopause works? I have a blood clot from regular HRT prescription meds and had to go cold turkey off it. Amberen and i-cool haven’t done a thing for hot flashes, etc and I need something to help. Let me know please how this has worked for you if you’ve tried it. Thanks.
You should contact the company for more information.
I have been taking Mendapause for about two weeks now and I have noticed a difference. It has cut down on my hot flashes and night sweats, I sleep better, sometimes all night thru. The main difference I have seen though is my moods. I feel much calmer.
The only thing I have not seen a difference in is being tired. I still feel tired, but, maybe after I have been on it for several months, I might see a difference there.
I am 55 years old. I hope this helps you to make a decision.
Have you had your vit. D checked? I’m 56 and six months into menopause. I was really, really tired besides the hot flashes and some mood swings. My vit. D was supposed to be around 50, but mine was 17. I am taking 5,000 units a day and feel so much better. The doctor wanted me to take 50,000 a week. I get a test in May.
I’m 52 and first tried Menoquil about a year ago. I recently switched to Mendapause because it contains no titanium and you only have to take two capsules a day as opposed to 4 capsules a day with Menoquil.
I have not had one hot flash, my mind is alert and clear again and I feel back to “normal.”
It seems to work great for me and I will be ordering more.
Does Mendapause help with weight gain? I took Amberan for 3 months, and actually got a period in the third month, very disappointing havent’ had one in almost a year…. going to try Mendapause
Is this a product you can take alone or must you be on estrogent to take it? I went off estrogen about a year ago and Im am not taking anything but have terrible flashes. I’m looking for something to help but wasnt sure if this is in addition to estrogen or if it works just on its own.
Can you take estrogen with it? I am only on estrogen right now and its not helping.
Mendapause works for me. It reduces hot flashes. It is the only menopause supplement I have taken so far. I wish there was something for weight gain.
I’m 55 and I need to know how this helps . I can’t take HRT because of breast issues. I’m really tired, brainfog, weight gain, hotflashes standing in the frozen food section! There has got to be something out there that will address these issue’s and balance everything out.Where do I get the Menoquil? What about Amberen? Anyone also with fibromyalgia?and Hypothyroidism?
Is there a menopause supplement that works out there that the main ingredient is not SOY. I have hypothyroidism and soy is not reccommended for those of us with thyroid issues.
Please advise as I have used the Amberen product but was not aware of the issues involved with the titanium dust and the MSG content.
Thank you.
Dear Mary, many menopause supplements contain soy. In low doses, it should be okay for those with hypothyroidism but you should check with your doctor to be sure.
Mary I have been using Amberen. I love it. I was on a soy product (estroven) and found it stopped working. Now I have been on Amberen for 2 months and I could not feel better! I hope this helps!
donna, i tried amberen for
just 2-3 days and suffered from severe headaches
that made me vomit. is
this a side effect? the pkg read ‘minor headaches”
thx
laura
Hi if you take the product with soy in it at least 2 hours before or two hours after you take your hypothyroid medicine you should be ok. I avoid soy products myself, but with this type of thing I take it at night and take my hypothyroid medicine in the morning. (Be sure you avoid other soy in products -IT IS EVERYWHERE these days.)
Just finished reading this.. I am interested in learning more.. I am 51 years old, went through a partial hysterectomy at age 26 and truth be known, have had night sweats and now hot flashes since then.. mood swing has become extremely intense from infuriating to deep depression.. I guess this really is the change.. and it sucks.
Anyway, Am reading up on the subject. I like the fact that the ingredients are all natural.
Thought I would share my thoughts.
Thank you for the website information.. and if I go with this supplement, I will let you know how the results pan out.
Kathy
I am 61 and feel like I have been in menopause for 15 years! I have virtualy NO sex drive, could care less if I ever do that; my husband wishes that would change for sure….night sweats, some depression, basically I have been hunting for something worthwhile that really works, not just sounds glorious and is expensive. I am a DES daughter, so am very careful about what I am taking, had a partial hysterectomy at 31 and will not do regular HRT due to my risk of cancer from DES. This product sounds interesting and herbs are natural, so may try it. Will report if I do.
I was thinking about trying the Amberen until I read reviews on this website. Now, thinking about trying Mendapause. The only concern I have is if anything in it may interact with prescription medications that I currently take for Blood Pressure, Fibromyalgia, among others. Does anyone happen to know the answer? I had total hysterectomy in 2001 and took Hormone Pills for a while. They got pretty expensive and I couldn’t tell that they were helping any symptoms that I had. So, I stopped taking them. But, really need something for the hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, etc. now that I am getting older.
Mona
I want to know if this supplement is safe to take with other medicines or vitimin supplements?
You should get in touch with the manufacturer about this.
I would give anything to find something to help night sweats and I know dozens of other women looking too.I guess I will try this for now hopefully cant hurt from what my gyn says,he recommended remifemin but doesnt get good reviews, please add more info
I have been taking Mendapause and I am in love with it. I have always responded very well to medicines and this supplemeny is no exception. I was having 6 – 10 big hot “flashes” a day and 3-5 smaller “flushes”. I began taking Mendapause three weeks ago today and i have had one flash and 3 flushes. LOVE IT!
I recommend that you check with your pharmacist to see if Mendapause will have any adverse reactions with your prescription meds.
Mona, my doctor never diagnosised my overall body pain as fibermyolgia (actually, she has never asked me any questions about my pain – only prescribed anti-depressant when I broke down in tears telling her I HAD to have my hormones back because I can’t deal with the chronic pain when I get no sleep for 3-4 nights in a row). I am a retired RN and went on a product called Natra-Burst (whole food product to get more veggies and fruit in my diet), after hearing that someone with fibermyalgia was totally relieved with the product. This person is a personal trainer – runs boat camps and went from horrible debilitating pain to pain free. I am now ALSO pain free. I gave a container to a friend that has fibermyagia and SHE is now pain free and getting it for her daughter. Natra-Burst has changed my life and maybe it would help you. You can find it on the website I listed http://www.grandmarene.123online.com It has helped me sleep because I no longer have the pain but my hot flashes still wake me and sometimes make it hard to get back to sleep. I am going to try Mendapause after finding this site to research Amberen and not liking what I read.
Is this product good for night sweats too?
I started out with Menoquil. It did reduce my hot flashes and I did have a slight decrease in appetite, but it hardened my stools and made bowel movements painful. I still had vaginal dryness and pain during intercourse. I stumbled across the Wellesley Center for Women’s Health and decided to try Mendapause based upon their recommendations. My hot flashes have increased more than when I took Menoquil. My stools and bowel movements are back to normal. My libido has increased and with lubrication and no pain. I would like for the hot flashes to be less but I prefer Mendapause over Menoquil.
I am 52 years old and have been menopausal for about three years. Everything I have tried does not work to stop my hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, depleted libido and weight gain. I am ready to try ANYTHING to get help other than hormone replacement. I am going to try Mendapause. I will report back if anything changes.
Is it working Dawn? I am you in MS.
The ingredients in Mendapause sound about right but i also have a thyroid problem and cannot use soy, but Menosense by Natural Factors has ingredients that addresses both problems: estrogen and progesterone, including chasteberry tree for mood swings. I’ve been taking this supplement for a while and its worked best.
I have been looking for something for menopause for some time now medapause sounds interesting.my mood swings are awful at times so im sure my husband will appreciate the help there.i am wondering if i can take extra chasteberry tree along with this.At any rate i do plan on getting this and trying it for my sanity, and husbands.
Did mendapause increase sex drive and reduce eliminate your mood swings, sadness? I don’t have hot flashes.
Has anybody tried this product, some have mentioned they will write back after they have tried. Please let us know. Need some help/ something for this “Change of Life” Thank you
my sister tried amberenand it worked for her . ive been taking it for almost two weeks and ,nothing . if anything, its made it worse. maybe it gets worse before ot gets better. ill try for the entire month and see what happens.
i just read about Amberen. I am so confused to find so many different products and contradicting information about menopause and what may help on the web!
I think I am going insane!!! please let me know what you think of this product.
After reading about all these products for helping hotflashes, night sweats etc I have ordered the Mendapause & will post back if I have any results – good or bad. I feel this product has the most natural ingredients. I’ve tried Estroven & taken black cohosh & evening primrose & had no relief from the hotflashes so I’m still searching for a solution.
Hi Gail, Has the Mendapause worked for you?
These Menopause supplement reviews by Wellesley are fantastic. I love that each product is rated.
I’ve tried Menoquil and was quite pleased with it. My main complaint is hotflashes and they decreased significantly. When I ran out I found this site and it seemed like “Hot Flash” was higher rated so I tried that. It did not work as well for me. I’m going to try Menopause this time.
I went to webmd first and found a doctor who recommended Remifemin. It appears that this product is not sold in Alabama. So I googled my question as to why it isn’t sold in Alabama. On the right side of my search return screen was an ad “Does Remifemin work?”. I clicked it and found this site.
Two things: Google ads work and I purchased Mendapause from their website because of the information I found here.
I am 51 now. Menopause hit me when I turned 48. It was sudden. There were no warnings. Everything just stopped.
It took almost a year for me to get an appointment with a doctor. I guess all female problem doctors are really popular. Anyway, he put me on a low dose hormone replacement therapy. I took it for about 18 months. Then in January, the price went up. I decided to stop. During that time, the symptoms were a dull roar but still there.
The hot flashes are bad enough. I can have as many as two every hour. There have been some that are so intense that the residual heat remains on my chair for a couple of minutes. It is also weird to have the intense chill afterward.
The weight gain of about 25 pounds is so depressing. And I stay hungry and my stomach growls. I feel like I gain weight just for thinking about food. Yet I am doing the same job, eating the same food, and the same exercise that I was before menopause.
I am hoping that Mendapause will help with some of these symptoms. I feel for the ladies who have had their libidos plummet. Mine did too. I hope this helps that more than the hot flashes.
I will come back after I take a week or two. I ordered one bottle. It cost about 38 dollars – product plus shipping. That is still way cheaper than the hormone replacement.
So I was wondering if it has helped. I have taken black cohash trying to stay with natural ingredients did not help me at all. I ordered estridol off the internet because I have no insurance and it was cheaper, but still have hot flashes and can’t sleep. Was wondering how this worked for you. Would love to take something natural because of cancer runs in my family.
Thankyou, Stacy
I read your comment made April 2011 and wanted to know if Mendapause has worked for you??? I am especially interested in reduction of weight gain/ lost weight and hot flashes and improvement in libido!
Thank you for replying.
Did the Mendapause work for you Marion? I have to start trying something for the first time. Cannot go on the way I am. Marie.
I want to know about Marion’s results. Was she able
to loose the weight?
I too would like to know if this product worked for you. I am also really bothered by the extra 25 lbs I put on, seemingly overnight! I have always been petite and now feel like a blimp! The rolls around my stomach are disgusting me! I feel really swollen, all over. I used icool and am wondering if that’s what caused the weight gain… My diet has not changed at all, yet I feel like I have blown up like a balloon! My fatigue is to the point where I wonder if tomorrow I will be able to get out of bed – I am waiting for my doctor appt. to have my thyroid tested…
Marian,
You probably won’t be reading this since your post on 04/08/2011…a year ago. But, I’m going to ask anyway…did you try Mendapuase? If you did, or tried any other product, what would be your recommendation? I am 59 years old, almost 10 years without menstruation, and without any libido. I feel like a dried-up prune. I don’t have mood swings, but do become very “hot”, needing the AC turned down, especially at night. My weight gain is ridiculous, 40 lbs. in 9 years. I eat much less than I used to eat because I get full so much faster, and the amount of excercise I get is about the same. I do like my couple of glasses of white wine with dinner; salad, protein, vegetables, little starch sometimes. If anyone else reads this post, please respond, as I would really like to hear about other experiences. My doctor says this is “normal”…guess he doesn’t want to deal with it or doesn’t know what he is talking about. He gave me a “picture” of plate proportions and told me to eat Special K for breakfast and lunch for 6 weeks. Tried it and was starving by dinner. I actually gained weight on his plan and lost it by eating less bad/white carbs. Anyone who can advise or contribute to this post would be appreciated. Thanks
Based on the recommendation from this website, I have ordered a bottle of Mendapause and will let you know how it works. Have tried pills and patches, but still have the systems, especially night sweats.
How did you go on the Mendapause?
I am age 52 and have experienced severe (almost hourly) hot flashes and night sweats for over 3 years. I am so tired of wearing only cotton tops since anything pretty (such as silk) would be ruined in 5 minutes.
I have tried may OTC products that you can buy at Walmart or Walgreens and nothing ever helped.
I finally had the doctor prescribe HRT, PremPro. I took it for a month and it was the worst month of my life. The hot flashes got worse and mood swings were erratic. I cried several times a day for no reason at all.
Out of sheer desperation I ordered Amberen and started taking it immediately after my one month of HRT was used up.
Since Amberen has several ingredients which are harmful, I will watch it closely. But the list of ingredients is way better than the list of PremPro ingredients and possible side effects. I cannot believe a doctor would even prescribe something like PremPro.
I keep a notebook with me where I write the time and severety of the hot flashes. From three years of experience I know there are certain patterns and times when I can count on getting a hot flash.
On the very first day, after taking Amberen, I had a measurable reduction of hot flashes. I also have more energy.
I noticed a feeling of well being and increased energy for several hours after taking the pills. But it seems the pills could not stabilize me for a whole day and night, so I started to take the two pills in the morning and two pills at night.
I have now been on the pills for two weeks and this morning, for the first time ever, I did not have a hot flash while I was making coffee. (that was formerly a regular occurrence.)
The ultimate test for me is when I have choir practice because I have to stand very close with other people on the risers. Everybody’s body heat plus the stage lights burning down on us almost guarantees a hot flash. That moment is torture because you cannot move.
I have had two choir practices now where I did not have a hot flash at all and I’m so very thankful to Amberen.
I noticed that coffee or any kind of caffine will bring on a hot flash for me, as will alchol. I am impressed with your results – thank you for sharing.
I have been on Amberen for about 2 weeks also. I have been having very few, light, hot flashes. I feel more at peace and have a little more energy. I have been hoping that things will get much better as time goes on, but since I read your comment, I think I will try and night dose also. Thank you for you comment it was very encouraging to me.
Hi,
Just finished taking Mendapause for a month. It did not work at all. My night sweats actually got worse and more often. I am a 53 year old woman and I get a hot flash an hour, for the past 4 years and I can honestly tell you, I have tried everything on the web and absolutely NOTHING has worked!!! Don’t waste any more of your money. I am going to go cold turkey until it simmers down…may take years, though.
Good LUck
Pauline
I have been on the pills for 4 weeks now and still getting a ton of hot flashes. This stuff also seemed to increase my appetite like the hormone replacement did, I have gained 10 lbs. in the first 4 weeks. Anyone else have this problem?
I have tried many of the all natural menopause supplements and none of them to date have helped. The worst part is that after a few weeks of taking a supplement with various herbs in the ingredients has caused allergic reactions. So I heard about Amberren and decided to give it a try. It has helped alleviate all my menopause symptoms. I sleep through the night and have much more energy. The only thing I have noticed though, is that if I miss taking Amberren for more than a couple of days (one red/one white pill per day), that I develop a low grade headache. I’ve gone off Amberren on purpose a couple of times to gauge its effects on my body and the only thing that I noticed is an increase in my menopause symptoms After reading the review (or lack of it since no real research is available) from this site, I have decided to continue using this product but will further research the titanium dioxide issue
I don’t feel alone anymore, knowing that there are others with the same yucky symptoms. With reading up on the different products, I am going to try Medapause. Will write back with the results.
I have been taking Mendapause for approximately 2-3 weeks. So far the changes I have notices are decreased night sweats and better rest during the night. Other things that I have noticed, is that I feel swollen and am seem to be retaining water. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, does this go away or get better with longer use?
Some people are estrogen dominate,i heard and have had it happen to me that if you get puffy and swell up a bit that is your bodys way of handling something that is not good for your body. You might have enough estrogen in your body already, you also might need more progesterone.
Yes, I also feel bloated and seem to be retaining water. Do not want to gain weight on this product. can someone help with this before I continue taking this?
do you still have the bloating? did you contact the manufacturer?
I am going to try Mendapause after reading everyones comments. I have been in menoupause for 12 years been on hormone/estrogen replacements for 8 years but there are side effects. I feel since this is natural and the ingredients seemed to help many woman with similar symptons that I have. I also read that DHEA helps but you need to get a blood test and get the right dose otherwise there are serious side effects. And I don’t feel like growing facial hair…
I am 55 years and I had a hysterectomy when I was 30. Since I had one ovary I had some natural estrogens running through my body. My doctor advised me that the ovary would last about 5 years and it did. Then everything went haywire. First symptom was severe hotflashes, sleep disturbances, dull headaches, moodiness, tiredness, low sex drive, itchy dry skin, brittle nails, most importantly heart palpatations. I’ve taken everything on the market and hormone therapy. Im not comfortable with the research on HRT and some herbs are not safe either. I’ve decided to go with Bio-identical hormones to get a full hormone panel to see what is depleted and what needs to be replenished. This test uses saliva. I’ve read Suzanne Summers book on her journey thru menopause as well as Dr. John Lee and Christine Northrup on the subject of Bio-identical hormones. For me if since I must replenish what my body needs to stay vibrant and healthy, getting something the matches what our body chemistry makes the difference. Good luck to all of us and google Bio-identical hormones in your area. Also read some of the books I named… A SISTER ON THE SAME JOURNEY THRU LIFE..SANDRA
I switched from PhytoB to Mendapause with poor results. I had good results in diminishing night sweats and flashes with PhytoB for 5 years, but I started getting mild intermittent hives a few months ago and I thought it might be related. After 6 weeks on Mendapause, the night sweats are back with a few flashes during the day. I am going back to PhytoB.
I too have been on Phyto B for 2 years…was going to change but now I think not!
I have read all of these comments and it really seems like there is no one drug that works for everyone on every symptom. (grumble grumble) The hot flashes are going to do me in, I swear, esp since I am only 42 and have been dealing w/ this for the last 2 years! They keep me from sleeping through the night, during the day I have 2-3 every hour and I feel nauseous almost every time. I think I’m going to try the Mendapause first because I like what I’ve read about the sage. If after a couple months that doesn’t work, I’ll move onto Menoquil and then after that PhytoB. Thanks for everyone’s input. It was much appreciated.
Okay, it’s going on week 2 for using Mendapause and, call me crazy, but I think it’s working – in as far as my flashes being less frequent and less severe. However, I had this same reaction to Maximum Strength Estroven when I first started taking that and then it eventually wore off or my body just got used to it and the hot flashes went right back to being ever-present and ever-hot. But for now, this is better than anything I’ve tried.
thank you for feed back – it really helps.
Going on 3 weeks with Mendapause…I notice a very slight difference in the amount of flashes and shorter time span on how long they last. I get this weird painful feeling in my legs just before a flash that wakes me up several times a night…just torture – so far Mendapause has not helped enough – I will continue to the bottle in hopes a full course will decrease the symptoms — will report back then. God Bless ladies and be strong…this 2nd half is not for the weak 🙂
Thank you for the blessing, I cried out to God and begged for help this morning. I married the man of my dreams 1 1/2 years ago and 6 months in I started menopausal symptoms. It’s been pure torture ever since I pray I can continue to hold on to my marriage and my sanity. I have never considered suicide but I could understand if women resort to it. I think sometimes I’m going out of my mind. I have every symptom menopause has to offer and no one seems to be able to help.
Are you still on the Mendapause? Working?
I’m 52 and started with hot flashes about 3 months ago (yes, I’m new at this) but it’s terrible! I’ve had insomnia way before this and now with the sweats, I never sleep!! When you don’t sleep, it’s hard to deal with life. I get a sensation in my stomach right before a hot flash, with some nausea, plus I’m very achey in my joints; sex drive? there is none. I refuse to go on HRT but after reading these reviews I don’t think there is any sure thing to get rid of them; not quite sure any of these reviews have me convinced. I did purchase Estroven, then saw an ad for I-Cool but doesn’t seem that these two work. Nice to know that I’m not alone but also somewhat depressed that I feel “fluish” every day.
Prayers to all who are suffering.
Cate
For the fluish symptoms, try Turmeric (take according to package directions). This solved my muscle/joint pain. This supplement has many other benefits for us middle-age galls. Now, if I can just get rid of those hot flashes, want sex again, sleep through the night, think clearly, etc, etc, etc…
After reading through these different reviews I am going to stay with what has been working for me. Other than low energy levels, I pretty much have the hot flashes under control. Not that I don’t ever have one but they don’t last very long and no more than 3-5 per week. I began taking Estroven about 5 years ago. I quickly switched to Maximum Strength and that worked for a while. As my body got used to that dosage, I added the Estroven PM at night. I have also added Estrotone and seem to being doing well on the combination. So…I take 1 Maximum Strength Estroven and 1 Estrotone every morning and 1 Estroven PM with 1 Estrotone at bedtime. I no longer suffer with the night sweats and just have a short hot flash every once in a while. When I have flashes consistently for a few days, I am reminded to use Progest cream at bedtime for several days in a row and the flashes go away. The Progest cream is meant to be used on a menstrual schedule by using it 5-7 days then off for 21 but I am not very good at adhering to that schedule so the flashes are a reminder. Hope this might help someone else work out dosages that will help. Good luck.
Thank you, that information really helps. I DID get the cream but the doctor was so expensive I stopped going. I might as my regular md to prescribe it.
Thanks for the posting of reviews…Helpful. For a six month period last year i subscribed to the Women to Women Personal Program of vitamins and minerals in an attempt to ween myself off of HR and then manage menopausal symptoms. One part of the regime included a supplement called Herbal Equilibrium (red clover extract, Ashwagandha root, Passionflower, Chastetree extract berry, Kudzu extract root, Wild Yam root and rhizome, Black Cohosh root and rhizome). It appeared to quell many of my raging symptoms, but the side effect was severe diarrhea. The program consultants referred to this as an allergic reaction….to what ingredient i don’t know. I’d like to try Mendapause, mainly for sleep, mood swings and low libido. Might i experience the same allergic reaction? Grateful for professional evaluation. Regards, Deborah G
I’ve been taking Mendapause for 28 days, for the first time since i can remember I slept through the entire night. i’m kinda in shock right now because this actually happened. During the process of taking this I noticed a change in my hot falshes, they use to come regularly at 10:30pm, i could set a clock to them. During the last 28 days i noticed they were all the time, random and very bad. Coming to the 30 day mark i noticed they have decreased quite a bit. Like they say, give it 4 to 5 weeks. I slept through the whole night!!!!! Wow. this actually works.
this site has been helpful, I had a full Hysterectomy June 22,2011. Menopause started 3 days later and I’m 42 yrs. old I’v been trying different ones St. Johns Wart is excellent for mood swings but DO NOT WORK ON Night Sweats or Hot Flashes.
i SWITCHED TO bLACK cOHOSH 2 WKS AGO N STILL NO GOOD i NEED HELP , I’m gonna try this Mendapause n see what happens.
I started taking Mendapause 38 days ago, tired of the horrible hot flashes and night sweats. I didn’t want to do HRT. My flashes would come every 30 minutes. I’d have to stop and fan myself. I started having fewer flashes after a week, and as each week went by, the flashes would be less severe, and less frequent. By the 29th day, I was down to 3 hot flashes a day, and they were not near as severe as they used to be. I usually don’t even need a fan anymore. Night sweats are far less frequent and severe as well. I am finally getting a good nights sleep again. I recommend this!
I was on bi-identicals for many years and loved them. The problem with bi-identicals is that most compounding pharmacies dont take insurance and trying to get the insurance comany to re-imburse me was impossible.
However, here is my question….I am allergic to soy. I can’t drink soy milk and have to steer clear of Soy Protein types drinks. Is the soy in this Menopause product going to effect me the same way? I notice there is only 30 mg. of soy. I’m hoping thats considered a very small dose, which I could probably handle. Any advise is greatly appreciated
I am 52 and have been using menoquil and I really like it for the hot flashes are gone, no mood swings and I can sleep all night long. But I still don’t have no sex drive -0 and as for my weight, I am still hungry have not lost no weight. After reading this about
Mendapause I will purchase it and get back and let you know how it does for me. I have been going through my menopause for the last 3 years and I have also tried Zestra and Menersa and these supplements have help me but not with my weight or sex drive. They were just a little less help than Menoquil.
Okay I hope I found the right one 🙂
I consider my main issues weight gain and no libido…did you have any luck with anything?
Can I take Maca root with Mendapause?
That’s a good question. Did you get an answer? I use Maca as well. I also want to know if it works when you are in menopause due to a hysterectomy. I’ve been using bio-identical estrogen, but still having some hot flashes and night sweats.
Maca-organic raw maca root (6:1 concentrate) has helped my hot flashes immensely. I take one capsule a day and get a bottle of 90 for $22. I need something for the mood swings, depression, and weight gain.
I started taking Mendapause for severe hot flashes, not wanting to take hormones. Flashes decreased in half after only a week. Within a month, I was having 75% fewer. Then around 6 weeks, the number of flashes started increasing and the intensity of them increased. Wasnt a permanent solution for me.
I have Graves Disease and had to had my thyroid completely removed and have to take thyroid medicine for the rest of my life. The only good thing was that I lost 100 lbs. and have kept it off for 3 years now. I have severe hot flashes and night sweats. Is it safe for me to take Mendapause? I sure could use some help. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I was an early menopause person. 48 it was over. I never had many hot flashes, get a few flushes but nothing severe. What I have noticed is tired, 15 extra pounds, not so clear headed and have not slept through the night in years (currently 55). If anyone has tried something that is natural and safe I’d love to know. Have just started looking for something and don’t want to take the prescription estrogen for health risks associated with those drugs. Like I said, mine hasn’t been severe but the weight gain, loss of sleep, and dull thought process is irritating.
I am 41 years old and have suffered from night sweats since the birth of my last child 4 years ago. I also am unable to lose any weight and I feel bloated all the time. I had a tubal libation following the birth of my last child. I understand that 41 is young too have menopausal symptoms but I wonder if menopause would help alleviate some of my symptoms?
I’m 54 and had tried a few herbal remedies, and none of them worked. I then was prescribed synthetic estrogen by my doctor. This made me feel like a crazy person. Finally, I decided to have a hormone saliva test done. No wonder…I was estrogen dominate! I now take a supplement called dim-plus, which is an estrogen metabilizer, along with a progesterone cream. This works for me! This may be why some women don’t respond to the herbal remedies and some do. I feel it’s best to have your hormone levels tested to see what you need. Dim-plus can be purchased at health food stores, or I found better prices on the internet. Hope this helps.
I haven’t read any comments about people my age. 89. I had a hysterectomy at age 50. Had hot flashes, was put on hormone therapy. I would stop occasionally to see if I would have hot flashes any more. Oh, yes I did. Back I went to hormone therapy. I would try through the years to stop, but the hot flashes were so bad I would go back to them. About 5 months ago I stopped taking Estradial. I am miserable with hot flashes. Day and night. Doctor doesn’t suggest any thing to take care of them. Did at one time but nothing worked. I take sotalol for irregular heart beat. So what do you suggest? I don’t want to go back to Estradial. But, I am getting desperate.
Okay ladies, I don’t know about ya’ll but I cannot live like this anymore, I have to try this Mendapause and pray it works. My mood swings are awful. I have never considered myself to be a b*tch but with menopause, I am one. My hot flashes are severe and I can’t focus on anyone thing at all. I will post after 30days of taking this product how it works for me. Until then, I will remain to stay in prayer and hope this stuff gets better. I am only 44 and have experienced this hot flashes for 3 years now. My cycles have tapered off and my emotional state is wacked.
I pray this helps.
Wow, 3 weeks into taking Mendapause, and I have had maybe 2 hot flashes, my mental state is much better and I am able to focus finally. My fiance’ thanks you greatly. I will continue to take this product as long as I can. Thank you so much. Candis
I’m not sure if I am starting menopause or not. I have been having extremely heavy, painful periods for two years now (I’m 41). I am not experiencing hot flashes or night sweats. I purchased some Emerita Pro-Gest, which is progesterone (no estrogen). I have been reading that the best products contain both progesterone and estrogen. Is it safe for me to take progesterone alone?
I have been using Mendapause now 10 days and it’s been working great. I have taken in the pass Menoquil. It works great except I still didn’t have no sex drive. Other than that it is a good product. I have also tried Zestra and Menersa and they are pretty good too except no sex drive with these too. My weight is was still bad and didn’t help at all. Mendapause has given me back my sex drive again. It does everything it said it does. No mood swings, no hot flashes and I can sleep at night again.
100 satisfied. I wish I knew the side effect in the long run if any it has. I will continue to take it. October 7 to October 17, 2011.
I have been on Mendapause for almost a month and after about 2 wks I noticed a significant change in my hot flashes. Was having about 20 a day and now not having any and sleep all night~no hot flashes. I am also using a cream with wild yam in it. But one thing I have noticed in the past 2 weeks is an achiness in my arms and legs. I can’t say it’s a side effect ; is this just part of menopause. I noticed someone else on here had some symptoms of achiness in the joints. She said “fluish” feeling and that’s exactly what it feels like. Any help anyone? But as for the Mendapause I am very happy with it. I would recommend to anyone.
This product works it really works. I am living proof.
I have been using Amberen for over 18 months. I think it had a placebo effect for a while. But after 4-going-on-5 years of miserable hot flashes and difficulty concentrating, I am ready to try something new. Just ordered Mendapause upon all the recommendations above! I just turned 59.
It appears that after about 4 to 6 weeks all of these quit working. There is no one on this web site that seeme to be using any of these product for very long. I used Remifin and max strenth estroven and they both seemed to quit after about 8 weeks or less. Has any one had long term sucess.
I am 58 goin on 59 next month. I have been haveing bout with menopause for about 20 yrs on and off. Mood swings, hot flashes, night sweats and NO LIBIDO NO SEX driveat all. I try to please him by faking it and it bout drives me nuts to do this. I have not tried anything but need to before I loose my husband of 33 yrs. I tolerate the night swests and hot flashes and deal with the mood swings but hes not taking the no sex so if anyone can recommend which one Mendapause or Amberren I am in dier need please let me know. I am in total tact of my organs. lol NO hysterectomy, answers and suggestion are welcome ASAP!!!!!!!!
I had a full hystrorectomy when I was 33; following a bladder repair surgery when I was 28, which sent me into menopause. I am 45 now, and I have gone through the depression, mood swings, irritability, and very low libito. Estrogen and Estrotest didn’t help; if anything it made things worse. I tried a number of other products with no avail. I currently take effexor XR for the depression and make sure I take more than 2000 mg. of vitamin D and then I also use the topical gel libito enhancer “Intense” (which really helps me alot – applied just before intimacy). I still struggle with leveling out the moods. My husband says I see life in “colors” …each day is a different color.
But I am also very interested in this product”Mendapause” as well.
I would rather be taking something that is natural vs. the antidepressant. And then use the “INTENSE” to help or add to the intimacy.
Trust me, if you are just going through the motions in bed; your husband knows it…and is likely taking it to heart that somehow it’s him.
I took Amberen for 60 days. I was/am in the middle of a move that is taking several months and still not done, causing my diet to be thrown off…too much fast food and I am off my regular workout schedule. I also have hypothyroid. That said, I seen very little improvement. But I was told by one of their nurses due to my thyroid I need to take a double dose for 2 weeks and then single dose. So I am taking 2 week break and start again. Oh and I didn’t take it at the same time each day and missed days randomly. I did go off it completely for 1 week and my thyroid really acted up on me, so I started taking it again. I also take iodine for my thyroid and it wasn’t working alone. Hot flushes seldom is all I dealt with and minor night sweats. Not an issue but are gone now. My moods also might be better? Still no libido and I put on almost 15 lbs in the last couple months! Certainly didn’t need that! But could it be due to diet and exercise changes? Maybe?
I have read the comments and would still like to hear from women who have noticed, after taking Mendapause, an increase in their sex drive. I am 50 yrs old and happily married, I do not want to throw in the sex towel just yet! I do not want to go on hormones, so this is why I am trying Mendapause. I did try the I-Cool, and ended up with a rash, although I believe it helped with the night sweats. :o)
Iuse a product Called Balanced Woman from TRI Vita it is pretty good, try it.
I had a complete hysterectomy in 2007. I was on Estridol for 6 months, had hot flashes, night sweats, sleepless nights and gained over 70lbs. I want to find something to help with the hot flashes, night sweats, and hopefully help lose weight. Looks like Mendapause has had the best results, but honestly, I want something to help get the weight off as much as control the hot flashes and night sweats…..suggestions, please 🙂
I am 51 and have been in menopause for about 5 yrs. Hot flashes have decreased in the last year, but weight gain, fatigue, irritability and muscle soreness are biggest problems. I heard a radio ad for Amberen so I researched and came to this site. That product sounds pretty mysterious, so now I am considering Mendapause. I see more questions than answers on this forum, but if anyone has a review on Mendapause for these symptoms, I would be interested. Thanks
I took Menersa for exactly 1yr, it worked great, then my hot flashes returned. I found Mendapause & tried it for 3weeks. I felt no decrease in the flashes. I stopped taking mendapause & returned to Menersa. Have been taking them for 1 week now and the flashes seem to have decreased. I think my body built up a tolerance to the menersa ingredients, so when i stopped & rested my body was again able to accept the formula. However, i will be trying bio-identical treatment in a month.
Thought I was going to try Amberen but now I think I will try Mendapause. I am 42 years old and have been battling hot flashes and no sleeping along with weight issues for 10 years already while still having a cycle. It is driving me crazy. I am a little worried about the soy in the product because I have noticed my flashes have been better since ridding myself of soy products. Can anyone tell me if this product has helped with weight issues? I eat right, excercise and still can’t get rid of the extra 40+ pounds. Sleeping is a major issue for me. I toss and turn and I am hot and cold all night long. Makes me feel like I am losing my mind!! Fellow hotflasher.
Did you try the Mendapause? Any success?
what about the licorice root extract in this product? Is it safe?
I have been taking Amberon for almost two months. I am still gaining weight and my hot flashes are not any better, night sweats are worse. I was on Bio Identical for many years and just can not get relief from the night sweats. I am concerned about taking anything because I take thyroid and now blood pressure meds. I also take Pristq. Please let me know if the Mendapause is safe to take with these meds.
I have been taking Amberen for 5 weeks and have gained 8lbs regardless of watching what I eat and exercising 4-5 days a week.
Anybody else have this problem???
After reading your comments, I am going to try mendapause, i was using estroven but it game me more hot flashes and sweats, very much all symptoms increased instead of decreasing. i was disappointed. I am going to try mendapause and will let you know after 3 weeks.
Thanks so much for this website and the reviews I am definately going to try Mendapause. I am 48 yrs old I have suffered all of it for two years now and funny enough I am still having my periods. My insomnia is serious, my moods are out of control, no sex drive at all; my husband is miserable and I dont have energy. I have just tried Emberen for one month and it did not do anything at all, I am definately going to try this. Thank you all. Nala
I saw a commercial for Amberen this morning and decided to check it out. I was ready to order until I found this website. Was concerned that it got the lowest rating. Will probably try Mendapause.
After reading a lot of these reviews, I agree with those that have said there’s probably nothing that will work for everyone.
One thing I’ve realized about myself is that my hot flashes, or “moments” as I call them, come and go. I can go several months with none at all and then all of a sudden they’re back. I have definitely found some triggers though…stress, and artifical sweeteners are two of the biggest culprits for me – and right now I’m testing tea. It seems that whenever I drink tea the flashes come back. But “moments” aren’t my biggest problem…I’m sick and tired of being tired, and I’ve put on about 20 pounds in the past 2 years and no matter what I do, I can’t get off but a few pounds. And a sex life? What’s that?
Right now I’m not only in the middle of one of my “moments” periods, but I’m having really bad mood swings right now also…and I haven’t had them in several years.
So basically, I think whatever I try will be a crap shoot. So I guess I’ll start with the Mendapause and see what happens.
Good luck to all.
I am a 42 year old that is experiencing lack of energy, constantly hungry, extreme weight gain, memory problems, hot flashes, mood swings, joint pain, some anxiety, lack of sleep. Sounds like menopause but my doctor has tested my estrogen twice and says it is within normal range. I thought about trying this product but not sure if it will help if my estrogen is normal. Did anyone else have this type of problem when they first started going through menopause?
I am 40 and have the Exact same symptoms……….maybe less of the hotflashes. I would love for other’s to answer this!
Did he mention that you may be peri-menapausal? Does he know what your baseline hormone level was prior to these symptoms. You could in reality be low for your levels. I am a nurse, and I ordered Mendapause (4 bottles) I am finishing my last bottle and reordering before I run out. I know it is working because some days I forget to take it and the symptoms come back. When I take it, I have no symptoms.
Good Luck.
i had/have exactly the same symptoms for years (i’m only 36). i had a partial hysterectomy over 5 yrs ago, even though i was “normal”. my advice is to seek a second/ third opinion. it can’t hurt, and you may even get different results. at 36, i’m “too young” to be going through menopause, but i sure seem to have all the symptoms…
Two questions: Is this safe to take if on anticoagulants and will it help with weight gain due to menopause.
i was wondering after reading all these comments, if the product mendepause can be take with xanax? i only take a very minimal dose. i am 53 and have been experiencing menopause symptoms for around 7 yrs. or more. i was on birth control pills and didnt realize that my body didnt need them any more. so i could have really started way before then. the hot flashes, the dizziness, shortness of breath, pain in my joints, etc. seems like every year its a new symptom. have tried the soy milk and it helps some but was afraid to try anything else. i thank everyone for thier comments. sometimes i feel like i am the only one with these problems.
For the joint pain, try Turmeric. It is essentially the spice known as curry. It solved my joint pain problem in just a few doses (use according to package directions). Google this supplement, it has amazing benefits besides the joint pain. Let me know how this works for you. Ladies, we have to stick together. Maybe we need to start a support group for the husbands and partners who are suffering right along with us.
Marie,
Stop taking the xanax and take the mendapause. It is natural ingredients. I am a 52 year old nurse who started the change within the last year. I researched many brands and decided on the Mendapause. It works great and I have reviewed this with my boyfriend who is an exercise and nutrition physiologist. I am very happy with this product and wish I could be a distributor.
Ok, so I am admitting to the truth of getting older. Boo hoo.
I need some help with adjusting and alleviating these annoying symptoms. Mostly, the frustration with the agony that no matter how many miles I run, or carbs i eliminate, and treats i surrender, I cannot lose a single pound!!! I am only 5’2″ and these extra pounds are not hiding themselves very well. Vanity, I know, but I am desperate for a solution. Also, I may fall asleep for a half hour and then wake with a start and am unable to calm my heart and fall asleep. Sure, I am reading lots of great books, but my eyes are beginning to look like bassett hound bags. I am in the covers, out, window open in Michigan winter, closed, running around the house in shorts and tank, pulling on everything and cranking the thermostat! HELP!!!
I nearly sent for my sample of Anberen, but now after looking at the
studies, it appears my call should be to the Mendapause company.
Any advice? I am 46, 5’2″ ….and too young, I think, to settle for less than my perky, well slept, light self. Thanks
Hi Leslie,
Well I started perimenopause at 46 everything had been very regular until then. Everything changed in three months. At first thought I was preggers only time I ever missed a period. In three months time I started having hot flashes every 5-10 minutes. fuzzy thinking, mood swings, weight gain, NO libido what so ever.
I have tried drinking soy milk, taking herbs (black cohauch etc.) things would work for a while then quit! grrrr,,,,,,,. I started taking AMBEREN last fall the first three boxes worked with the hot flashes did nothing for sex life.
I started the second round and am halfway thru it all and it is now doing nothing.
Am going to try mendapause this time.
Talk with your partner and let them know that. its not them that is the problem. get them to read all about menapause, my guy says that men think that we dont love them when we suddnley start behaving all wacky. He is intellegent enough to realise that when Iam soo unlike myself for the past 28 yrs that something has changed and that i am working on trying to control and or understand why my body has betrayed me like it has.
And yes hugs do help when I am sobbing uncontrolleby.
i miss our sex life, hate hot flashes, brain fog, mood swings being bitchy etc,, and I will NOT let my body control who i am or how I act!!!
I take 2mg of Estrace with NO relief from night sweats or hot flashes. Can I take it with the Estrace or one or the other?
I have been having the hot flashes/night sweats for the past couple of years. Really embarrassing at work! Anyway, after researching and trying different products, nothing worked. Then I tried Mendapause. I have been taking it (once a day with breakfast) for six months, have been waiting to write a review. In a nutshell: My hot flashes and night sweats have decreased dramatically, I would say by 80%! And when I do occasionally get a hot flash (usually the week before my period) they are significantly diminished. I am placing my fifth order now! THANK YOU!!!
I was wondering how any of these products help with the problem of menapausal weight gain. I seem to eat very well and small portions, exercise at gym at least 4 times a week and cannot loose weight. it is very frustrating.
i am looking for a package vitiam for menopause, is there such a thing out ? i have 4 years of hot flashes and 52 years old with no surgerys. also memory loss; please help. all i have taken was otc stuff, and no changes.
Hello Ladies…
I’ve read all of the comments and if you put them all together, we’re all having the same symptoms in varying degrees. I am 52, partial hyst at 48, still have ovaries and have suffered peri-meno for years with on/off bouts of hot flashes, terrible insomnia and all the other symptoms you’ve all mentioned. Seems like as soon as I hit 52, the hot flashes were no longer on/off – they’re full on and brutal… along with insomnia, weight gain, mood swings etc…
I too, have tried all the healthfood store items, with no results. I am and have been on bio-ident hormone cream for three years (thanks to Suzanne Sommers books and a good Naturopathic MD.) Though upping the dose when symptoms worsened did not help and made my mood swings worse. Recently the Women to Women.com site was recommended and I have just started (1 week) the vitamins and herbs. (They claim to help 85% of women in their program and their refund policy is stellar if it doesn’t work.) My hot flashes are better by 50%, insomnia much better and mood has lightened. I take these supplements with my bio-ident cream. I haven’t had any major issues – stools are “lighter” but not diahrrea.
One thing the consultants at women to women told me was to take one of the calcium/magnesium supplements just before bed (417mg cal/292mg mag) per tablet so I’m getting 2 X that for my daily dose. Think this has been the key to sleeping (which has been MAJOR.) As to what works for hot flashes/mood swings -the herbal supplements that everyone has tried seem to be a matter of dosing, not necessarily types of herbs – they all seem to have similar herbs in them.
I’m really breaking down the supplements I am taking and finding out what each herb in the combined supplement does. Could be if I’m taking a calcium/magnesium supplement and it works for insomnia – I’ve knocked that symptom back. If I’m still having hot flashes, maybe add an additional supplement to the combined one I’m taking that specifically targets hot flashes.
I am doing additional research and looking into Iodine supplements for low thyroid – check out http://www.thyroid-weight-loss.com (Women’s Health Institute of Texas). I have so many of the symptoms and yet my thyroid tests have come back fine. I work out 5-6 days a week (hard Boot Camp style workouts) and am doing Weight Watchers and I’ve barely budged the scale in a month.
As we all go along this journey – keep in mind that it’s going to be a lot of trial and error -which I know is almost as frustrating as your symptoms – we want an answer/fix NOW! I was literally at my wits end before I started these supplements. Now I can at least function enough to do additional research. I don’t think there’s a magic bullet – again, trial /error.
Don’t discount that you may need more help from your regular OB/GYN or Internist. More of our Western trained MD’s are moving toward Bio-Ident hormone therapy (mainly because we insist on it) and can work with you to get your dose right. I’m working with mine now -but it took him this long to get on the band wagon. In any event, keep searching, trying, talking to other women, you doctor, your family and don’t lose hope.
As a parting suggestion, get on a really good bio-available vitamin, feed yourself good food (veges, fruit, protein, slow carbs -yes you need some carbs) exercise when at all possible (make that a priority – trust me – it WILL help your mood) and try the calcium/magnesium at bedtime (think Dr. Oz even suggests that) – if you can get a reasonable nights sleep – EVERYTHING looks a little better and our coping mechanisms are better. Finally, BREATHE….
calm your mind and spend five minutes alone – even if it’s in the women’s bathroom at work… just try to decompress any way you can. Take control of the things you can and let go of what you can’t. This has kept me from losing my mind completely during these changes – that and a supportive husband!
Wishing us all sanity and better health through this difficult journey! Baby steps girls… we’ll get there!
IT WORKS. I am a nurse and I recommend it to all of my friends and patients. I would love to be a distributor!!!
Hi I left a comment in January hoping to come back after 3 weeks. Any way I want all girls to know that we are all different but I want you to know that Mendapause works, it is the best, at least to me. After 3 weeks taking it I started to see the changes, vaginal dryness stopped and after 5 weeks hot flashes are gone. Totally gone!.Not sure about the night sweats but I did not care about the nights as I sleep well until morning. I just finished 2 bottles of mendapause and I have my first period after 11 months without period.! It is amazing how this product works! Do not give up especially at the beginning. Give it time to work on you body. Good luck!
PS: I almost forget to tell you that I lost 7 pounds, I believe it helps with controlling body weight too.
Hello, ladies. I am 45 and had a partial hysterectomy at 37 years, so still have my ovaries. I have recently started having hot flashes, but with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes at night, sometimes mid-morning. And not all the time yet. I have been taking black cohosh and it keeps my mood on an even keel. My sex drive is ok for now as well. I guess my biggest issues are the beginning of hot flashes, brain fog and definitely weight gain. Also, I admit, I don’t eat right or exercise the way I need to, but it seems like I feel hungry all the time, and that is very bothersome. I’ve seen several women ask if Mendapause helps with weight, but not a single answer one way or the other. So, is there a consensus out there? Does it also help with weight loss? How about brain fog? I’m an RN, so it would be great to know if it helps with this? Thank you!
I have hot flashes and night sweats and am considering the Mendapause. Anyone worried about the black coash? I had heard of possible link to cervical cancer.
I am trying to find something to help my symptoms – hot flashes, sleep problems, weight gain, libido, I have read that you need estrogen and progesterone. Does mendapause have these? Do you also use progesterone creme? Or is there something better? I am 63.
Hi Ladies, as a personal trainer I can say with confidence that just like in losing weight or getting fit, no one way works best for everyone in finding relief from menopausal symptoms. So first and foremost, try your best not to stress while searching for the answer. I always recommend trying the least invasive and most natural way to go. For me, however, Amberen worked the best after trying numerous products. I would prefer something a bit more natural with some other healthy items in it but my body (for now) reacts well to it so that’s what I’ll do. I would also promote getting exercise every day to help counter the effects also. Nothing takes the place of the strong endorphins your body makes to help you feel better, lose weight and control mood swings. xoxoxo to all my sisters!
Hi
I am 53 years old and suffering. My periods started skipping about 1.5 years ago. And, I think I have had hot flashes for about maybe 5 years or a little more now.
I feel horrible in the mornings especially if I haven’t slept well. I have high anxiety issues. Sometimes, my stomach has this weird sensation that runs down my legs. I have become extremely picky in my diet. I have hot flashes, of course every single day. I am hot all the time!! Heart palpitations are also present although not every day.
Some days are better than others but I don’t feel well. I just want my life back, that’s all.
Has evening primrose worked for anyone to relieve any symptoms. I really don’t mind the hot flashes but I am more concerned with my foggy head, nausea and anxiety attacks. I can’t drive in traffic anymore. Waiting at red lights is just a torture sometimes. Waiting creates more anxiety for me.
I can’t work due to my anxiety issues so I don’t have health insurance at all. Therefore, going to the Dr. is out of the question.
Sorry, guys….didn’t mean to sound so depressing. But…that’s how it is.
Any suggestions would help. Thank you so much for listening!
I’m 61 and the girls at work suggested I use Mendapause to bring hot flash relief. I’ve been on it for 3 months (and by the way, order it through the lab (Bioprosper Labs) much cheaper than through Amazon. At any rate, the hot flashes during the day have subsided dramatically however still continue at night. I’m always in a great mood and eat a lot so I’ve gained 15 pounds in the last 4 months. Has anyone experienced this? Is there something in Mendapause that causes weight gain or is it because I’m such in a happy mood that I’m eating all the time?
I am 57 years old. I just started menopause in the last year. I have been lucky. No sleep problems, no night sweats. I have always taken supplements, especially Evening Primrose, Bcomplex and others. I work in construction, and work out regularly. I knew that I needed something when I felt that I was just feeling crazy weird. I would get up feeling angry for no reason. I also have the belly fat to contend with. I am currently trying different exercise routines to try to combat this.
I took Macafem for about 6 months. Worked great but when I needed to reorder I switched to Menoquil because of its reviews. Menoquil worked great but did nothing for the belly fat. I’ve been using it for about 6 months, and it still works great for moods.
I am going to switch this time to Mendapause and see what happens.
I love that we have these choices. I call them my happy pills. I also supplement with D3 and B12 so I am pretty happy. I just want to get rid of this squishy belly.
