I took Amberen for a week and on the 8th morning I woke up with vertigo, not dizziness, but like walking on a fun house floor. I had to call in sick to work and it took me 3 days to recover. The only thing that I did that was different was taking Amberen. Anyone else experience this?
Vertigo is related to crystals in the inner ear canal. Many in my family suffer with this. My allergist says it is not hereditary. I think it could be related to allergies as I only have had it in the spring and late summer. Maybe you are having a reaction to something in the Amberen. The only way to find out is to try again, but be prepared. For Vertigo try Reflexology as this is related to crystals found in the body.
I didn’t get vertigo, but after about 15 days of taking it, I am getting a stomach ache like someone hit me in the gut. It lasts for about 6 hours. It’s a holiday and I can’t get a hold of anyone to asks about it.
I got headaches in the beginning. I have noticed a flatter stomach which was promised and I got very loving with my husband after about two weeks, but nothing since. I still had vaginal tightness and dryness. I am at a stand still. I don’t want to use drugs. I am 64.
It’s probably the Monosodium L-Glutamate in the product that made you dizzy
It’s hard to believe they put it in their product. I certainly won’t be trying it. Also, if one does suspect an allergic reaction to an ingredient, it’s not a good idea to try something again in order to see if you really have a reaction, as someone had suggested. [I say that as the mother of kids with allergies.] But so many people seem to have a problem with monosodium L- glutamate, that I try to avoid it all together if it’s listed on an ingredient label. God bless.
Ladies, especially in the month of October, (Breat Cancer Awareness), I wish I could broadcast around the world that unless you are taking a natural USP Hormone Balancing Cream, you’re doing your body harm EVEN IF your symptoms have gone away. I’ve got some amazing info to share. Feel free to request the info by going to kristieo.myarbonne.com to contact me. Wishing you all good health!
One product that they never listed is one I take. The company is Women to Women. It is FABULOUS! Go to their website immediately. I started taking these supplements in April of 2011. I had gone to my doctor because I had light bleeding for about 2 months. He gave me birth control pills, which made me sick and did nothing for any of my other symptoms. I then found Women to Women. I felt symptom relief within a few weeks, and have continued to feel so much better. My energy level is up. I have had no more bleeding, and I have been able to lose weight. The hot flashes are alleviated as well.
Another benefit to this company is the free consultation that you get with them.
If you are experiencing menopause or perimenopause symptoms, do yourself a favor and try these products. www. womentowomen.com
I am trying to find out if mendepause would work for some whom had hysterectomy. I am 43 been having issues for the last 3 yrs.
I am 64, and have used bio-identical estrogen and progesterone. Regardless the form, cream or drops, progesterone makes me feel awful — swollen breasts, bloated, weight gain — none of which helps my temperament. So I use a very small dose tri-est cream, only. My hot flashes are not as bad as they once were, but they still exist, and I still have problems with mood swings. I’m warned not to elevate my estrogen levels w/o elevating my progesterone levels, too. Any suggestions for a progesterone that won’t have the side affects?
I have developed an adverse reaction to Black
Cohorsh – palpitations mostly. All the recommeded compounds have this herb. What are my alternatives? I am also allergic to MSG if that information is useful.
I have done alot of reading and research about black cohosh, and it says it can damage your liver! Anyone else heard or experienced this?
I am 44 years old and after having cancer and going through chemo and radiation which put me through full blown mentapause. I am looking for something that will help me with all the side affects. I do not want to be on hormones due to the increase of cancer and would like some relief from the side affects and all the other wonderful side affects as well. can anyone recomend something that will work for me please?
Allergic to Black Cohosh also. Looking at Maca now. Taking Soy.
I also get palpitations from the black cohosh. Plus it feels like I’m on speed or something. I also wish that I knew an alternative. I’ve heard that accupuncture works and I am taking herbs given to me by my ayurvedist. ( the ayurvedic institue of New Mexico – Ed Danaher). They help a bit.
After looking at your site and reviews of all the products I briefly considered trying a different product, but that would be crazy. The i-cool works great for me. I think I have been so estrogen dominant for so long (endometriosis, infertility, etc.) that the reduction in estrogen with menopause has been devastating. So just replacing some of the estrogen seems to work great for me! There you go: no hot flashes, no night sweats, good sleep, reduced migranes; why change? For me personally, I disagree with your two star rating. I give i-cool 5 stars!
I tried mendapause and the progesterone cream they recommend. After two weeks I still had hot flashes and I started breaking out with acne right away (the same symptom I had when I would start my period), I stopped right away, the acne stopped but I now have blemishes where skin was clear. Anybody else have this problem?

I had a redical hysterectomy and recently diagnosed with a brain tumor as well. I have horrible mood swings and the doctors suggested that brain tumors are common among women who have had to have hormone therapy replacement . I was never informed this before. makes me sick that so many woman are still in the dark. If this was happening to men it would be cured by now. The anger and rage that tear through me are all consuming and hot flashes are constant. The fear,is an everyday thing anymore and i have found no relief. anyone that can recommend a product would be welcomed. I was taken off hormone replacement therapy and amberen was helping but since have been told by doctors that it is a fluke and the address is actually a vacant parking lot to no where when looked up on a webcam. Does anyone know if this is true. Are women really being treated this way? Are we really being ignored like this after years of careing for our families and providing care for our men and children??? lisa
I took Amberen and this was the best thing for me! I don’t like taking any kind of drugs, not even an aspirin. I had been have dizzy spells for approx. a year and have been very emotional. I took Amberen and my dizzy spells went away, and I am not emotional any more. Amberen has all natural ingredients and my system was pure (drug free). I would not take anything else, but Amberen.
would mendopause work for people who had breast cancer. i’m not allowed to take any form of estrogen prescription.
i’m having difficulty at night due to hot flash.
